This event tracks which Moroccan players will be in the starting lineup for the France vs Morocco FIFA World Cup match scheduled for July 9, 2026. Each market resolves based on whether a specific player appears in the official starting lineup and is on the field when play begins.
Resolution is determined by the official starting lineup at kickoff and players on the field when the match begins. A player who is not in the initially announced starting lineup but appears in the official starting lineup at kickoff and on the field when play begins resolves to Yes. Conversely, a player named in the starting lineup but replaced or withdrawn before kickoff resolves to No. Substitute appearances do not count toward resolution. If the match does not occur before July 10, 2026, all markets resolve to No.
Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different incentive structures. Sportsbooks set odds to balance their book and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets like this one are driven by trader consensus—real money on the line from participants trying to forecast the actual outcome. Prediction markets typically incorporate information more efficiently over time, as traders continuously update positions based on breaking news, team announcements, and injury reports. For lineup markets specifically, prediction odds may react faster to official team news than traditional sportsbooks, making them a valuable signal for serious bettors and analysts.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through an order-book mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing each possible starting lineup outcome. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each outcome reflects the collective belief of active traders—higher prices indicate stronger consensus that a particular lineup will be selected. As new information emerges (team news, injury updates, tactical announcements), traders adjust their positions, moving prices in real time. This continuous price discovery process ensures the market reflects the most current expectations available to participants on the platform.
This market resolves around Jul 9, 2026, once the France versus Morocco match begins and the official starting lineups are announced. The outcome is determined by comparing the actual players fielded by Morocco against the lineup options available in this market. Resolution is verified against credible public sources, including official team announcements and major sports reporting outlets. Once the starting XI is confirmed and verified, the market settles automatically, paying out traders who correctly predicted the lineup.
Several catalysts could shift odds significantly before resolution. Official team news—such as injury announcements, suspensions, or tactical changes from Morocco's coaching staff—typically triggers sharp price movements. Player availability updates, especially for key starters, often prompt rapid repricing. Media reports about lineup experiments or formation changes can also influence trader positioning. Close to match day, any last-minute squad adjustments or surprise omissions will likely cause volatility. Additionally, broader context like Morocco's recent form, head-to-head dynamics, and tournament stage implications may gradually reshape expectations as the event draws nearer.
