Frequently asked questions

Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets aggregate the beliefs of traders risking real money on outcomes. This market aggregates thousands of independent forecasts, which can reveal signals that traditional oddsmakers miss—or confirm their views. Comparing the two can highlight where consensus is strongest and where uncertainty remains highest.

On Limitless, this market is priced through a continuous order-book mechanism where traders place bids and asks on shares representing each team's probability of advancing. On Limitless, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each share reflects the latest trade, and the spread between buy and sell orders indicates market tightness. As new information emerges—injuries, team news, or betting patterns—traders adjust their positions, moving the price dynamically. This transparent, decentralized pricing model ensures the market reflects current expectations in real time.

This market resolves around Jul 19, 2026, once the France vs England knockout match concludes and the advancing team is verified against credible public sources. The outcome is determined by which team progresses to the next round—either through a win in regular time, extra time, or a penalty shootout, depending on the tournament format. No ambiguity exists; the result is objective and publicly confirmed within hours of the final whistle.

Key catalysts include team news such as injuries to star players, lineup announcements, and tactical shifts revealed in training or press conferences. Recent form, head-to-head records, and performance in earlier tournament rounds can shift trader sentiment. Weather conditions, home-field advantage, and historical penalty-shootout records may also influence odds. Media narratives, expert analysis, and betting patterns from major sportsbooks can trigger repricing as new information reaches the market. Each update gives traders fresh data to reassess probabilities.
