Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set odds to balance their book and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets are driven purely by trader supply and demand. This market aggregates the collective judgment of traders betting real money on the exact scoreline, which can sometimes reveal information or sentiment that traditional sportsbooks have not yet fully priced in. Comparing the two can highlight where the crowd sees value or where consensus differs from bookmaker positioning.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker that converts trader orders into real-time odds. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The leading outcome currently reflects the highest probability assigned by active traders. As more capital flows into any particular exact score, that outcome's price rises and its implied probability increases. Conversely, reduced trading interest lowers the price. This continuous repricing mechanism ensures the market stays responsive to new information and shifting trader conviction right up until the match concludes.
This market resolves around Aug 1, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final scoreline will be matched against all possible exact-score outcomes listed in the market. Whichever outcome corresponds to the official final score will be deemed correct, and traders holding positions in that outcome will receive their payout. All other positions will expire worthless. Resolution timing depends on when the match concludes and the result is officially confirmed.
Several factors can shift trader positioning in this market before kickoff and during the match. Team news—injuries, suspensions, lineup changes, or tactical announcements—often triggers repricing as traders reassess scoring likelihood. Recent form, head-to-head history, and weather conditions can also influence how traders view the probability of specific scorelines. Once the match begins, live action such as early goals, red cards, or momentum swings will cause rapid repricing as the crowd updates its expectations. Late-breaking injury reports or lineup confirmations closer to kickoff typically generate the most volatile moves.
