Prediction market odds on Polymarket often diverge from traditional sportsbook lines because they reflect decentralized crowd sentiment rather than professional oddsmakers' models. Sportsbooks adjust lines to balance liability and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets price based on collective trader belief. For the Pedone vs Gorgodze bout, comparing Polymarket implied probabilities to major sportsbooks can reveal where the crowd sees value or where sharp money disagrees. Prediction markets may react faster to breaking fighter news, while sportsbooks may lag due to risk management constraints. Neither is inherently more accurate, but the gap often signals market inefficiency worth monitoring.
