This set of markets focuses on predicting the point differential in the first quarter of a college football game between Florida and Auburn. Each market corresponds to a specific point margin threshold that must be exceeded by either team to resolve as a win.
These markets resolve based on the point differential in the first quarter of the Florida vs Auburn college football game scheduled for September 19, 2026. For any market, if the specified team wins the first quarter by more than the stated point margin, the market resolves to Yes; otherwise, it resolves to No. Only points scored during the first quarter count. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, the market remains open and resolves based on the official result. If the game does not start within 48 hours, the market resolves to a fair price. Kalshi is not affiliated with the NCAA, and all trademarks remain property of their respective owners.
Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd, often converging with—and sometimes diverging from—sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set initial lines based on their own analysis, incorporating factors like team statistics and expert opinions. This market, however, allows individuals to trade on their own beliefs, potentially leading to odds that differ from those offered by traditional sportsbooks. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information, biases, or simply a different weighting of factors influencing the perceived probability of an outcome. It’s common to see prediction markets as a potentially more accurate reflection of true probabilities.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing different point spreads for the first quarter. The price of each contract reflects the market's collective assessment of the probability of that spread occurring. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Traders are incentivized to set prices that accurately reflect their beliefs, as they profit from correctly predicting the outcome. As more traders participate and new information becomes available, the prices adjust, providing a dynamic and real-time view of expectations for the Florida-Auburn 1st quarter spread. The current price indicates the implied probability of each spread.
This market resolves around Sep 20, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the actual point spread achieved in the first quarter of the Florida versus Auburn football game will be used to determine which contracts payout. The resolution will be based on the official game statistics reported by a trusted source. The contracts corresponding to the correct spread will pay out $1.00, while those representing incorrect spreads will expire worthless. Traders will be able to view the final outcome and settlement details on Kalshi following the game’s conclusion.
Several factors could influence the price movement of this market leading up to Sep 20, 2026. News regarding key player injuries for either Florida or Auburn would likely have a significant impact. Changes in weather forecasts, particularly if they suggest adverse conditions, could also shift expectations. Unexpected announcements from coaches or team personnel, or even shifts in public sentiment as reflected in polls or social media, could all contribute to price fluctuations. Any information that alters the perceived probability of either team covering the spread has the potential to move this market, as traders react and adjust their positions.
