These markets evaluate various scoring thresholds for the second half of a college football game between Florida State and Alabama. Each threshold represents a different level of scoring performance that must be exceeded for the market to settle positively. The outcomes are determined solely by the points scored after halftime, including any overtime periods.
All markets resolve based on the total points scored by both teams combined during the second half (including overtime) of the Florida St. vs Alabama college football game scheduled for Sep 19, 2026. Each market has a specific threshold: if the combined second-half points exceed that threshold, the market resolves to Yes; otherwise, it resolves to No. For all markets, only points scored from the start of the second half through the end of regulation or overtime count. If the game is postponed but commences within 48 hours of its original scheduled start time, the markets remain open and resolve based on the official final result. If the game does not start within 48 hours of the scheduled time, all markets resolve to a fair price. Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd, often differing from initial sportsbook lines due to the influence of public opinion and information. Sportsbooks set initial lines based on statistical models and expert analysis, while this market incorporates a broader range of perspectives as traders buy and sell contracts. Over time, prediction market prices tend to become more efficient, often converging with sportsbook odds as more information becomes available and the event draws nearer. However, discrepancies can still exist, offering potential arbitrage opportunities for informed traders.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous double auction, meaning traders set the odds by placing buy and sell orders for contracts representing different outcomes. The price of a contract reflects the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The more traders believe a particular outcome is likely, the higher the price of its corresponding contract will rise. This dynamic pricing mechanism ensures that the market reflects the collective intelligence of those trading on the platform, providing a unique perspective on the potential result of the second half.
This market resolves around Sep 19, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the final score of the second half of the Florida St vs Alabama game is verifiable from credible public reporting. The total points scored in the second half will be used to determine whether the 'Over' or 'Under' contract will pay out. The resolution will be based on official game statistics, ensuring a transparent and objective determination of the result. Traders will be able to claim their winnings shortly after the official results are released and verified.
Several factors could influence the price of this market. Any news regarding key player injuries for either Florida St or Alabama would likely cause significant movement, as would updates on weather conditions that could affect the game's scoring potential. Changes in public sentiment, reflected in polls or expert predictions, could also impact trading activity. Finally, as the game progresses and early second-half scores are established, the market will react rapidly to adjust the probabilities of reaching different point totals, creating opportunities for traders to capitalize on new information.
