Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Price discrepancies between Polymarket and Kalshi on this market can arise from several factors. These platforms have different user bases, trading volumes, and liquidity, all of which influence price discovery. Additionally, the specific market structures – such as the types of contracts offered and the fees charged – may vary, impacting how traders assess value. Different interpretations of available information regarding team performance, player injuries, and other relevant factors can also contribute to diverging opinions and, consequently, differing prices. These variations are normal in decentralized prediction markets.
