Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different pricing mechanisms. Sportsbooks set fixed lines designed to balance action and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets allow traders to continuously adjust prices based on real-time information and consensus belief. For this market, comparing the current prediction market probability to major sportsbook lines can reveal whether traders are pricing in factors—team form, injuries, or tactical adjustments—that traditional oddsmakers may have initially underweighted.
This market resolves around Jul 31, 2026, once the second half of the match concludes and the result is verifiable from credible public sources. The outcome is determined by the official final score recorded at the end of the second half, with no ambiguity over which team scored more goals during that period. Resolution typically occurs within hours of the final whistle, allowing traders to settle their positions promptly.
Several catalysts could shift odds before the match begins or during play. Pre-match signals include team news, lineup announcements, injury updates, and recent form trends. Once the first half concludes, the halftime score becomes a major driver—a team trailing by multiple goals may see their second-half win probability compress, while an early lead can inflate it. In-match events such as red cards, tactical substitutions, or momentum swings will also prompt traders to reprice their positions dynamically.
