Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they operate under different models. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and protect their margin, while prediction markets aggregate trader beliefs through continuous price discovery. This market reflects what thousands of independent traders believe will happen, rather than a bookmaker's calculated spread. Comparing this market's odds to major sportsbooks can reveal where consensus differs, though both sources update dynamically as new information emerges closer to kickoff.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker that converts trader buy and sell orders into real-time probabilities for each exact-score outcome. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Traders purchase shares representing their chosen scoreline, and the price adjusts continuously based on supply and demand. The top outcome currently reflects market consensus, and as traders adjust positions, prices shift to reflect new information or changing expectations about the match result.
This market resolves around Jul 25, 2026, once the match concludes and the final score is verified against credible public sources. The outcome is determined by the exact scoreline at full-time, with no ambiguity about which outcome has occurred. Resolution happens automatically after the event is confirmed, and all traders holding shares in the correct scoreline receive their payout based on the final odds at which they traded.
Team news—injuries to key players, lineup changes, or tactical shifts—typically moves this market significantly. Recent form, head-to-head history, and league standings can all influence trader expectations about likely scorelines. Weather conditions on match day and any late-breaking developments in either squad's preparation may trigger repricing. As kickoff approaches, the market often consolidates around the most probable outcomes, while unexpected announcements or betting patterns can cause sharp moves in less-favored exact scores.
