Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets aggregate trader beliefs through continuous price discovery. For exact-score markets, sportsbooks typically offer limited scoreline options with fixed payouts, whereas prediction markets allow trading on any conceivable result. Comparing this market's implied probabilities to major sportsbook offerings can reveal where the crowd sees value or where consensus shifts, though direct parity is rare given the different market mechanics.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker and order-book hybrid, where traders buy and sell shares corresponding to each exact scoreline. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Each outcome has its own contract; the price of a share reflects the collective belief in that result's probability. As traders place bets, prices adjust in real time, and the sum of all outcome probabilities converges toward 100 percent. High-volume scorelines typically show tighter spreads and faster execution, while less-traded results may have wider bid-ask gaps.
This market resolves around Aug 2, 2026, once the match between Krasnodar and Voronezh concludes and the final scoreline is verified against credible public sources. The outcome is determined by the exact number of goals each team scores during regulation time. Traders holding shares in the correct scoreline receive their payout, while incorrect predictions expire worthless. Resolution typically occurs within hours of the final whistle, pending confirmation from official match records.
Key catalysts include team news such as injuries to star players, lineup announcements, or tactical shifts that alter scoring expectations. Weather conditions on match day can influence play style and goal likelihood. Recent form, head-to-head history, and betting-market sentiment from traditional sportsbooks often correlate with prediction market repricing. Late-breaking developments like suspensions or venue changes may also trigger sharp moves. As kickoff approaches, this market typically consolidates around consensus odds, with final volatility driven by live-match momentum and unexpected in-game events.
