Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different pricing mechanisms. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets allow traders to set prices through supply and demand. This market aggregates the collective forecast of traders rather than a bookmaker's risk assessment. Over time, prediction market prices tend to converge toward actual outcomes because traders with better information can profit by correcting mispriced odds. Comparing the two can reveal where public perception differs from professional sportsbook pricing.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker that converts trader buy and sell orders into real-time probability quotes. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Each outcome has its own contract, and the price of each reflects the cumulative bets placed on it. As traders buy a particular result, its price rises; as they sell, it falls. This continuous repricing mechanism ensures the market remains liquid and responsive to new information, allowing participants to enter or exit positions at transparent, algorithmically determined rates throughout the trading window.
This market resolves around Jul 29, 2026, once the second half of the match concludes and the result is verifiable from credible public sources. The outcome will reflect the final score or result recorded in official match reports. Traders should monitor the fixture schedule and any official announcements to ensure they understand the exact timing. Resolution typically occurs shortly after the match ends, once the result is confirmed and the platform processes the settlement.
Several factors may shift odds before the match kicks off. Team news—injuries, suspensions, or lineup changes—can significantly alter perceived second-half dynamics. Weather conditions, venue factors, and recent form updates may influence trader positioning. Betting syndicate activity or large trades can trigger rapid repricing as the market rebalances. Close to kickoff, late-breaking tactical announcements or starting XI confirmations often drive final adjustments. Traders monitoring sports news, official team communications, and betting flow can spot these catalysts and adjust their positions accordingly.
