Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set odds to balance their book and manage risk, while prediction markets like this one aggregate the beliefs of thousands of independent traders who profit or lose based on accuracy. Prediction markets typically incorporate information more dynamically and can offer sharper pricing on niche outcomes—such as exact scores—where traditional sportsbooks may offer limited options or wider margins. Comparing the two can reveal where one venue undervalues or overvalues a particular scoreline relative to the other.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker and order-book mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing each possible exact score. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each outcome reflects the cumulative bets placed on it; as more traders buy a particular scoreline, its price rises, and vice versa. Traders profit by correctly predicting the final score and selling their shares at a higher price than they paid, or by identifying outcomes they believe are mispriced relative to the true probability. The continuous pricing mechanism ensures liquidity and allows real-time discovery of the market's consensus forecast.
This market resolves around Jul 30, 2026, once the match between Jablonec and Varaždin concludes and the final score is verified against credible public sources. The outcome is determined by the exact scoreline at the end of regular time; the market will settle to whichever exact score outcome matches the official result. Traders holding shares in the correct scoreline receive their payout, while incorrect predictions expire worthless. Resolution timing depends on when the match is played and the result is confirmed by reliable reporting.
Key catalysts that could shift this market include team news such as injuries to star players, lineup changes, or managerial decisions announced before kickoff. Recent form, head-to-head history, and league standings can influence trader expectations about the likely scoreline. Weather conditions, venue factors, and any late-breaking tactical adjustments may also prompt repricing. As match day draws closer, uncertainty typically decreases and prices converge toward the most likely outcomes. Live match developments—such as an early goal or red card—would only affect this market if it remains open during play; most exact-score markets close at kickoff.
