On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing each outcome. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The current odds reflect the ratio of shares held in the liquidity pool, and prices move as traders execute trades. Each share costs between 0 and 1 dollar, with the sum of all outcome prices equaling 1 dollar. This continuous pricing model ensures transparent, real-time discovery of what the crowd believes will happen, with no intermediary setting fixed lines.
This market resolves around Aug 2, 2026, once the match concludes and the first goal is verified. The outcome is confirmed when credible public sources—such as official match records or established sports data providers—document which team scored first. If no goal is scored during regulation and extra time, the market may resolve to a no-goal outcome depending on the specific market rules. Resolution typically occurs within hours of final whistle.
Key catalysts include team news such as injuries to star strikers, lineup announcements, or tactical shifts that affect attacking prowess. Weather conditions—rain, wind, or extreme heat—can influence early-game pace and shooting accuracy. Historical head-to-head records and recent form trends also shape trader positioning. Pre-match analysis from respected analysts and late-breaking betting syndicate activity often trigger sharp price moves. As kickoff nears, any official confirmation of starting lineups or surprise roster changes can shift odds significantly, reflecting updated expectations about which side will break the deadlock first.
