This event group covers a single match between FK Dynamo Kyiv and PAOK Thessaloniki scheduled for July 23, 2026, with markets asking which team scores first. Kalshi's market resolves Yes regardless of outcome (including 0-0 draws), while Polymarket offers three distinct outcomes: FK Dynamo Kyiv, PAOK, or Neither (if no goal in 90+stoppage minutes).
In the upcoming match between FK Dynamo Kyiv and PAOK, scheduled for July 23, 2026 at 1:00 PM ET: This market will resolve to "FK Dynamo Kyiv" if FK Dynamo Kyiv are the first to score within the first 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time. This market will resolve to "PAOK" if PAOK are the first to score within the first 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time. If neither team scores within the first 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time, this market will resolve "Neither". If the game is postponed, this market will remain open until the game has been completed. If the game is canceled entirely, with no make-up game, this market will resolve to "Neither". This market refers only to the outcome within the first 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time. Extra time and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome.
Resolution is determined by which team records the first goal during the entire match, encompassing regulation time, stoppage time, and any extra time periods. If the first goal scored is an own goal, the market resolves based on the team officially awarded credit for that goal. The match in question is the professional Europa League soccer game between FC Dynamo Kyiv and PAOK Thessaloniki originally scheduled for July 23, 2026.
Prediction markets and sportsbooks price outcomes differently because they operate on distinct mechanisms. Sportsbooks set odds to balance their book and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets derive prices from continuous trader supply and demand. Prediction market prices often reflect longer-term consensus and can be more responsive to new information, since any trader can adjust their position instantly. However, sportsbooks may move faster on breaking news or injury reports. Neither is inherently more accurate, but comparing both sources can reveal where the broader market sees edge or disagreement on this matchup.
Team news—injuries, suspensions, or lineup changes—can significantly shift odds, especially if a key striker or defender is ruled out. Recent form, head-to-head history, and tactical adjustments announced before kickoff often trigger repricing. Weather conditions, venue factors, and betting syndicates entering or exiting positions can also drive volatility. As match day nears, late-breaking developments such as team morale, travel disruptions, or referee assignments may influence trader sentiment. Monitor sports news and social media for updates that could alter perceptions of either team's attacking or defensive readiness.
