Frequently asked questions

Typically, prediction market odds reflect a wisdom-of-the-crowd perspective, often differing from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and incorporate a profit margin, while this market relies on traders directly expressing their beliefs about the probability of each outcome. If sportsbook odds heavily favor one team, but the prediction market shows a more even split, it could indicate disagreement with the sportsbook’s assessment. It’s important to consider that both represent probabilities, but are derived through different mechanisms and may appeal to different types of bettors.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the likelihood of each outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and express their views, the price adjusts to reflect the collective wisdom. The market's price is driven by supply and demand – if many traders believe Dinamo will win the second half, the price of shares representing that outcome will increase, and vice versa. This dynamic pricing system aims to provide a real-time assessment of probabilities.

This market resolves around Sep 17, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The result will be determined by which team – FK Dinamo Makhachkala or PFK CSKA Moskva – wins the second half of the match. Official match results from a recognized sports data provider will be used to verify the winner. The resolution process is designed to be transparent and based on objective, publicly available information, ensuring a fair and accurate determination of the outcome for all participants in this market.

Several factors could influence the price of this market before resolution. Any news regarding team injuries, changes in player lineups, or tactical adjustments announced by either coach could shift trader sentiment. Unexpected weather conditions on match day could also play a role, potentially impacting the style of play and influencing the perceived probabilities. Furthermore, real-time performance during the first half of the match will likely have a significant impact, as traders react to the unfolding events and adjust their predictions accordingly. Major in-game events like red cards or penalties could also cause substantial price movements.
