Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set odds to balance their books and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets like this one are driven by traders risking real capital on their beliefs. For an exact score market, prediction traders may price outcomes differently than bookmakers, particularly for less-obvious scorelines where specialized knowledge or contrarian views create pricing gaps worth exploiting.
On Polymarket, traders set prices for each exact score outcome through an automated market maker, where buying or selling a particular result moves its odds up or down based on supply and demand. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The top outcome currently reflects strong trader conviction, but prices can shift rapidly as new information emerges or as match conditions become clearer. You can enter or exit positions at any time before the market closes, locking in gains or cutting losses based on your view of the final scoreline.
This market resolves around Jul 17, 2026, once the match concludes and the final scoreline is verified against credible public sources. The outcome is determined by the exact number of goals scored by each team at the end of regular time. Any extra time or penalty shootout results do not affect the resolution, as exact score markets settle on the standard 90-minute result. Resolution typically occurs within hours of the final whistle.
Team news—injuries, suspensions, or lineup changes—can significantly shift odds for different scorelines, especially if key attacking or defensive players are unavailable. Recent form, head-to-head history, and weather conditions on match day all influence trader expectations. As kickoff approaches, late-breaking developments such as unexpected absences or tactical announcements often trigger sharp price moves. During the match itself, early goals or red cards will cause rapid repricing of remaining outcomes, so this market can be highly dynamic right up until the final whistle.
