Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and manage risk, while prediction markets aggregate the beliefs of traders risking real capital on outcomes. This market aggregates decentralized trader conviction, which can lead to sharper or earlier price moves than traditional sportsbooks, especially as match conditions evolve. Comparing the two can reveal where the crowd sees value relative to conventional betting markets.
On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker that converts trader orders into real-time odds. Buyers and sellers trade shares representing each possible second-half outcome, and the price of each share reflects the collective probability assigned by active traders. As new bets flow in, the price adjusts continuously, creating a transparent, permissionless price discovery mechanism that rewards accurate predictions and penalizes poor ones.
This market resolves around Jul 25, 2026, once the match concludes and the second-half result is verified against credible public sources. The outcome is determined by the official final score recorded for the second half only, independent of first-half events. Resolution occurs after sufficient confirmation from established sports data providers, ensuring accuracy and fairness for all traders.
Key catalysts include team news such as injuries, lineup changes, or tactical shifts announced before kickoff. Early match momentum, goals scored, red cards, or other in-game developments during the first half will influence trader expectations for the second half. Weather conditions, crowd factors, and any official statements from either club can also shift sentiment. As the match progresses, real-time performance data becomes the primary driver of price movement in this market.
