Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and manage risk, while prediction markets aggregate trader beliefs through continuous price discovery. This market may show materially different probabilities than conventional sports betting venues, particularly as new information emerges. Comparing the two can reveal where the crowd on Polymarket sees value relative to established betting markets.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker that converts trader orders into real-time probabilities. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The current price reflects the aggregate belief of all active traders, with each transaction moving the odds incrementally. Traders buy or sell shares corresponding to each outcome, and the market price—expressed as a percentage—represents the crowd's consensus probability of that outcome occurring in the second half.

This market resolves around Aug 1, 2026, once the match concludes and the second-half result is verifiable from credible public sources. The outcome is determined by the final score and events that occur during the second half only, independent of first-half play. Resolution typically follows within hours of the final whistle, after official match records are confirmed and any relevant data is published by the league or authoritative sports databases.

Several factors may shift odds before the match begins or during live play. Team news—injuries, lineup changes, or tactical announcements—can alter perceived second-half strength. Weather conditions, referee assignments, and recent form updates may also influence trader positioning. Once the first half concludes, the actual scoreline and momentum will likely trigger significant repricing, as traders reassess the probability of each outcome based on observed play. Late-breaking developments or betting-market activity on other venues can accelerate moves as well.
