Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance liability and extract margin; prediction markets aggregate trader beliefs through continuous pricing. For this matchup, comparing Polymarket odds to major sportsbooks reveals whether professional bettors and retail traders are pricing the second-half outcome differently. Persistent gaps may signal mispricing or differing risk assessments between venues.
On Polymarket, traders set the odds through an automated market maker that adjusts prices based on order flow and liquidity. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Each outcome—Ferencváros win, draw, or Vojvodina win in the second half—has its own contract, and the sum of all outcome probabilities equals 100 percent. As traders buy and sell shares, the price of each outcome shifts, reflecting the collective forecast of the market. This continuous repricing mechanism ensures the odds remain responsive to new information throughout the trading window.
This market resolves around Jul 16, 2026, once the Ferencváros vs. Vojvodina match concludes and the second-half result is verifiable from credible public sources. The outcome is determined by the official final score during the second 45 minutes of play, including any injury time awarded by the referee. Traders holding shares in the winning outcome receive their payout, while losing positions expire worthless.
Key catalysts include team news—injuries to star players, lineup announcements, or tactical shifts—that alter perceived second-half performance. First-half scoreline and momentum heavily influence second-half expectations; a team trailing by multiple goals may adopt aggressive tactics, raising volatility. Weather conditions, referee assignments, and historical head-to-head patterns in second halves can also shift trader positioning. Real-time match events, such as red cards or substitutions, typically trigger sharp repricing as traders update their forecasts.
