Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different pricing mechanisms. Sportsbooks set lines to balance their own risk and profit margins, while prediction markets aggregate the collective beliefs of independent traders competing for returns. In this market, traders are directly incentivized to price outcomes accurately, since profits depend on prediction accuracy rather than volume or house margins. Comparing the implied probabilities from both venues can reveal where the broader market consensus differs from traditional oddsmakers, though each approach has distinct strengths.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker that calculates odds based on the ratio of shares held in each outcome pool. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As traders buy shares for a particular exact score, the price of that outcome rises and the prices of all other outcomes fall proportionally. The top outcome currently reflects strong trader conviction around a specific scoreline. This continuous repricing mechanism ensures that odds adjust in real time as new information emerges and trading activity shifts.
This market resolves around Jul 21, 2026, once the match concludes and the final score is verified against credible public sources. The outcome is determined by the exact scoreline at the end of regular time, and this market will settle to whichever exact score option matches the official result. Traders holding shares in the correct outcome receive their payout, while all other positions expire worthless. Resolution typically occurs within hours of the final whistle.
Several factors can shift odds in this market before the match kicks off. Team news—injuries to key players, lineup announcements, or tactical changes—often triggers sharp repricing. Recent form, head-to-head history, and home-field advantage all influence trader expectations. Weather conditions and venue factors may also play a role. As match day approaches, late-breaking developments such as unexpected absences or lineup confirmations can cause rapid probability swings. During the match itself, early goals, red cards, or momentum shifts will drive continuous repricing as traders update their forecasts.
