Frequently asked questions

Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd, often incorporating information and analysis that might not be immediately priced into traditional sportsbook odds. While sportsbooks primarily focus on implied probabilities based on statistical models and expert opinions, this market allows anyone to participate and express their beliefs, potentially leading to a more accurate forecast. However, discrepancies can arise due to differing market participants, liquidity, and risk appetites. It’s important to compare both to gain a comprehensive understanding of the potential outcome.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the probability of a particular outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The more traders believe an outcome is likely, the higher the price of its shares will rise, and vice versa. This dynamic pricing reflects the collective intelligence of the market participants and adjusts in real-time as new information becomes available.

This market resolves around Sep 25, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will be based on the official results announced by the relevant electoral authorities in the Czech Republic. The candidate who receives the majority of votes in the presidential election will be declared the winner, and that will determine the outcome of this market. Traders will then be able to claim their winnings based on the final result.
