This market predicts the winner of the first set in the professional tennis match between Felix Gill and Marco Trungelliti at the 2026 ATP Eastbourne Qualification Round 1 on June 21. The market resolves based on which player wins set 1 of the match.
The market resolves to Yes if either Felix Gill or Marco Trungelliti wins set 1 in their professional tennis match at the 2026 ATP Eastbourne Qualification Round 1. If the match does not occur before play begins due to injury, walkover, forfeiture, or cancellation, the market resolves to a fair price. If the match is postponed or delayed, the market remains open and closes after the rescheduled match concludes within two weeks. If a player retires, markets that can be unconditionally settled based on completed play resolve accordingly; those that cannot are resolved to Fair Market Price at the Exchange's discretion.
Prediction markets and sportsbooks price events differently because they operate under distinct incentive structures. Sportsbooks set odds to balance their book and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets aggregate trader beliefs through continuous price discovery. This market reflects what thousands of informed traders believe will happen, often incorporating real-time information faster than traditional oddsmakers. Comparing this market's odds to major sportsbook lines can reveal where consensus diverges, helping you identify potential value or contrarian opportunities.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through an order-book mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing each outcome. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each share reflects the collective probability estimate: higher prices mean traders view that outcome as more likely. You can place limit or market orders to enter or exit positions, and the spread between bid and ask prices tightens as liquidity increases. Real-time price discovery ensures the market continuously adjusts to new information about both players' form and match conditions.
This market resolves around Jun 21, 2026, once the first set of the Gill versus Trungelliti match concludes and the result is verified against credible public sources. The outcome is binary: either Gill or Trungelliti will be confirmed as the set winner. Resolution happens automatically after the event is finalized and reported by official match records. Traders holding the winning outcome receive their payout, while losing positions expire worthless.
Several factors can shift odds before the match begins. Recent performance data, head-to-head records, and surface conditions at the venue all influence trader positioning. Injury reports or lineup changes announced closer to match day often trigger sharp price moves. Court conditions, weather, and player momentum from preceding tournaments can also sway sentiment. As the match start time approaches, any breaking news about either player's fitness or form typically generates rapid repricing. Live trading activity itself can amplify volatility if large orders hit the book.
