Prediction market odds, like those found for this market, often differ from traditional sportsbook odds due to the wisdom of the crowd. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, incorporating a profit margin. Prediction markets, however, are driven by individuals incentivized to accurately forecast the outcome. This can lead to more efficient price discovery, as the collective intelligence of traders often outperforms individual experts. While sportsbooks may initially influence the market, prediction markets can diverge as new information emerges and traders refine their assessments.
