Felix Auger-Aliassime and Alexander Shevchenko compete in the first set of their 2026 Wimbledon Men's Singles Round of 128 match on June 29. The market determines which player wins that opening set.
This market covers the first set outcome of the Felix Auger-Aliassime vs Alexander Shevchenko professional tennis match at the 2026 Wimbledon Men Singles Round of 128. If the match does not occur before play begins due to injury, walkover, forfeiture, or other cancellation, the market resolves to a fair price. If the match is postponed or delayed, the market remains open and closes after the rescheduled match concludes within two weeks. Should a player retire, markets that can be unconditionally settled based on completed play resolve accordingly; those that cannot are resolved to Fair Market Price at the Exchange's discretion.
Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set odds to balance action and protect their margins, while prediction markets like this one aggregate trader beliefs through continuous price discovery. Comparing this market's odds to major sportsbooks can reveal whether professional bettors and retail traders are pricing the set winner differently, potentially highlighting value or consensus shifts in real time.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through an order-book mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing each outcome. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each share reflects the collective probability assigned by active traders; as new information emerges or trading interest shifts, prices adjust dynamically. Liquidity and trading volume influence how quickly prices move, so markets with higher activity typically offer tighter spreads and faster execution.
This market resolves around Jun 29, 2026, once the first set of the Auger-Aliassime versus Shevchenko match concludes. The outcome is determined by verified reporting of the set result from credible public sources covering professional tennis. Once the set winner is confirmed and the event is no longer in dispute, the market will settle and payouts will be distributed to holders of the winning outcome.
Several factors may shift odds before this market resolves. Recent player form, head-to-head records, court surface conditions, and injury reports can all influence trader expectations. Pre-match analysis from tennis experts, betting syndicates, or public commentary may also drive price movement. Additionally, live trading activity during the match lead-up—such as large orders or sudden shifts in volume—can signal changing confidence in either player's chances of winning the first set.
