Felix Auger-Aliassime and Alejandro Davidovich Fokina compete in their 2026 Wimbledon Men's Singles Round of 16 match on July 5. The market determines the exact final set score of the match.
The market resolves to Yes for the outcome matching the actual final set score of the match. Possible outcomes include Felix Auger-Aliassime winning 3-0, 3-1, or 3-2, or Alejandro Davidovich Fokina winning 3-0, 3-1, or 3-2. If the match does not occur before it begins due to injury, walkover, forfeiture, or cancellation, the market resolves to a fair price. If the match is postponed or delayed, the market remains open until the rescheduled match concludes within two weeks. If a player retires, any market that can be unconditionally settled based on completed play resolves accordingly; markets that cannot be settled resolve to Fair Market Price at the Exchange's discretion.
Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and manage risk, while prediction markets aggregate trader beliefs through continuous price discovery. This market's odds may lead or lag sportsbook lines depending on which venue attracts more informed participants or reacts faster to news. Comparing the two can reveal where consensus is strongest or where sharp traders see value.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through an order-book mechanism where traders buy and sell shares corresponding to each exact score outcome. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each outcome reflects the collective willingness of participants to back that result, with shares trading between 0 and 100 cents. As new information surfaces—player form, court conditions, or injury updates—traders adjust their positions, moving prices to reflect shifting probabilities of each possible final score.
This market resolves around Jul 5, 2026, once the match concludes and the final set score is confirmed. The outcome is verified against credible public sources covering professional tennis, ensuring accuracy and fairness for all traders. Resolution occurs shortly after the event is officially completed and reported, allowing positions to settle based on the actual score that was played.
Several factors may shift odds in this market before it closes. Injury announcements or player withdrawals would dramatically reprrice outcomes. Recent tournament results, head-to-head records, and surface-specific performance data can trigger trader repositioning as the match date approaches. Court assignments, weather forecasts, and pre-match commentary from analysts may also influence sentiment. Trading volume often spikes closer to match time as casual bettors enter, potentially moving prices away from early consensus.
