This market tracks the outcome of a specific esports match between two teams, FearX and CAG by VARREL, scheduled for September 12, 2026. The resolution depends on which team secures a victory in their league stage match. The event reflects competitive performance in a structured tournament setting.
The market resolves based on the result of the Asia Pacific League APAC North - Stage 2 2026 match between FearX and CAG by VARREL, scheduled for September 12, 2026, at 8:00 AM EDT. If FearX wins, the FearX market resolves to Yes, and the CAG by VARREL market resolves to No. Conversely, if CAG by VARREL wins, the CAG by VARREL market resolves to Yes, and the FearX market resolves to No. If the match is postponed and does not start within 48 hours of the original time, both markets resolve to their fair market prices. If the match is cancelled before play begins, or if either team forfeits prior to any play, both markets also resolve to fair market prices. If play commences and a forfeiture occurs afterward, the markets resolve according to the official result declared by the governing league or tournament organizer. Kalshi is not affiliated with the governing league, and all trademarks remain property of their respective owners.
Generally, prediction market odds often reflect information beyond what’s captured in traditional sportsbook lines. Sportsbooks primarily consider statistical analysis and expert opinions, while this market incorporates the wisdom of the crowd, potentially factoring in less quantifiable elements like team morale or unreported injuries. If sportsbook odds heavily favor one team, this market might show a more nuanced view if traders believe there’s a higher chance of an upset. However, as the event approaches, the odds on Kalshi and sportsbook lines tend to converge as more information becomes available and public sentiment aligns.
On Kalshi, this market is priced using a continuous double auction, meaning traders set the odds by placing buy and sell orders for contracts representing different outcomes. The price of a contract reflects the market’s collective assessment of the probability of that outcome occurring. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The more traders believe an outcome is likely, the higher the price of its corresponding contract will be. This dynamic pricing mechanism allows the market to quickly incorporate new information and adjust probabilities as the event draws nearer. The current price reflects the aggregated expectations of all participants.
This market resolves around Sep 12, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the FearX vs. CAG match as reported by the governing body or official sources for the competition. The platform will verify the result against these sources to determine which outcome corresponds to the actual event result. Traders holding contracts corresponding to the winning outcome will be paid out according to the final market price at resolution.
Several factors could significantly influence this market. Any news regarding key player injuries or changes in team strategy would likely cause price fluctuations. Unexpected announcements about the match venue or schedule could also impact trading activity. Major shifts in public opinion, perhaps following pre-match interviews or analysis, could also move the market. Furthermore, any significant performance changes from either FearX or CAG in preceding matches could lead traders to reassess their predictions and adjust their positions, resulting in changes to the odds on Kalshi.
