Frequently asked questions

On Polymarket, the Second Half Result market dashboard tracks real-time odds and trading activity for the outcome of the second half in this matchup. The interface displays current pricing, historical price movements, and trading volume as participants buy and sell shares tied to different second-half results. This market allows traders to speculate on which team will emerge ahead when the final whistle blows in the second 45 minutes, with odds updating continuously as new trades execute. The dashboard provides transparency into market sentiment and liquidity depth for this specific event.

Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets price outcomes based on trader consensus and real-money conviction. This market aggregates beliefs from a decentralized pool of participants rather than a single bookmaker's model. Over time, prediction markets have shown competitive accuracy against sportsbook lines, particularly when traders have strong information or when public sentiment shifts rapidly. Comparing the two can reveal where market participants see value or disagreement.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing different outcomes. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Each share costs between 0 and 1 dollar, and the current price reflects the probability implied by the order book and recent trades. As traders accumulate shares in one outcome, the price of that outcome rises and the price of alternatives falls, creating a dynamic equilibrium. This continuous repricing ensures the market reflects the latest information and trader sentiment in real time.

This market resolves around Jul 24, 2026, once the second half of the match concludes and the result is verifiable from credible public reporting. The outcome will be determined by which team is ahead on the scoreboard when the referee ends play. Traders holding shares in the correct outcome will receive their payout, while incorrect positions expire worthless. Resolution typically occurs within hours of the final whistle as official match data becomes available.

Several factors could shift odds before Jul 24, 2026. Team news—injuries, suspensions, or lineup changes announced before kickoff—often triggers sharp repricing. First-half performance is a major catalyst; if one team dominates the opening 45 minutes, traders may adjust their expectations for the second half significantly. In-game momentum, red cards, or unexpected tactical shifts during the match itself will drive real-time trading. Public betting patterns and late-breaking information from reliable sports media can also influence market prices as traders update their models.
