Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Market design and user bases drive divergence. Polymarket often attracts crypto-native traders focused on precise outcomes like exact scores, while Kalshi may emphasize simpler propositions from a broader audience. Liquidity differences also play a role — shallow depth on one venue can exaggerate price swings. Additionally, each platform’s fee structure and trading interface influence how users engage with this market, leading to varied probability assessments and thus distinct pricing dynamics between the two.
