Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. Typically, prediction market odds reflect a wisdom-of-the-crowd perspective, often differing from initial sportsbook offerings. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and incorporate a profit margin, whereas this market allows traders to express their independent beliefs about the probability of each exact score. Over time, prediction market prices tend to become more efficient as more information becomes available and more traders participate. It’s common to see discrepancies, especially before a significant amount of volume accumulates, as this market represents a different form of forecasting than traditional betting.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing different exact scores. The price of each share reflects the market’s collective assessment of the probability of that score occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and new information emerges, the prices adjust accordingly, providing a dynamic and real-time indication of expectations. The market's price movements are driven by supply and demand, with higher demand pushing prices up and lower demand pushing them down. This creates a fluid and responsive pricing system.
This market resolves around Sep 20, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final score of the FC Vaduz versus FC Thun match will be used to determine the winning share(s). Resolution will depend on official match data, and any disputes will be handled according to Polymarket’s standard procedures. It’s important to note that the resolution process focuses on verifying the publicly available result of the game, ensuring a transparent and reliable outcome for all participants in this market.
Several factors could influence the price of shares in this market. Any news regarding team injuries, changes in player lineups, or shifts in team form could significantly impact trader sentiment. Unexpected weather conditions on match day, or even pre-game analysis from respected football commentators, could also cause price fluctuations. Major events like a key player suspension or a surprising tactical decision by either manager could also lead to substantial movement. Monitoring these signals will be crucial for anyone looking to trade in this market before it resolves.
