Prices on Polymarket and Kalshi can differ due to several factors, including varying user bases, trading volumes, and market-specific rules. Polymarket might attract a different demographic of traders than Kalshi, leading to differing opinions reflected in the prices. Furthermore, the liquidity and volume on each platform can influence price discovery; lower volume can lead to greater price volatility. Differences in the fees charged by each platform can also contribute to price discrepancies. These factors combine to create potentially distinct market dynamics even for the same underlying event.
