Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set odds to balance their book and manage risk, while prediction markets aggregate the collective beliefs of traders who have real money at stake. For this market, comparing the implied probabilities on Polymarket to major sportsbooks can reveal whether traders are pricing the second-half outcome differently than professional oddsmakers, potentially highlighting value or consensus shifts.
On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker that converts trader positions into real-time odds. As traders buy and sell shares representing each possible second-half outcome, the price of each outcome adjusts dynamically. The current odds reflect the aggregate confidence of all participants; higher prices indicate stronger belief in that outcome, while lower prices suggest skepticism. This continuous repricing mechanism ensures the market stays responsive to new information and shifting expectations.
This market resolves around Jul 23, 2026, once the second half of the match concludes and the result is verifiable from credible public sources. The outcome is determined by the final score or result recorded in the second half only, independent of the first-half scoreline. Your position will settle based on which outcome actually occurs, with payouts distributed automatically once the event is confirmed and the market is officially closed.
Several factors can shift odds in this market before it resolves. Team news—injuries, suspensions, or lineup changes—often triggers significant repricing, as does recent form and head-to-head history. Weather conditions on match day, venue factors, and any pre-match developments involving either side can influence trader positioning. As the match begins and the first half unfolds, the second-half outcome becomes more predictable, typically causing odds to adjust based on the halftime score, momentum, and tactical adjustments teams may make.
