Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and manage risk, while prediction markets aggregate the beliefs of traders risking real capital. This market may show materially different probabilities than major sportsbooks, especially as the match approaches and new information surfaces. Comparing the two can reveal where consensus is strongest and where informed traders see value relative to conventional betting lines.
On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker that converts trader orders into real-time probabilities. Each outcome has a price between 0 and 1 that reflects the collective assessment of all traders. As participants buy and sell shares, the price adjusts continuously, with larger trades moving the odds more sharply than small ones. This mechanism ensures transparent, friction-free pricing and allows traders to enter or exit positions at any time before the market closes.
This market resolves around Jul 23, 2026, once the second half of the match is complete and the result is verifiable from credible public sources. The outcome will reflect which team scored more goals during the second half, or whether the period ended in a draw. Resolution occurs after the final whistle and any necessary official confirmation, ensuring accuracy before payouts are distributed to winning traders.
Team news—injuries, suspensions, or lineup changes—can shift expectations for second-half performance significantly. Recent form, head-to-head history, and tactical adjustments announced before kickoff may also influence trader positioning. Weather conditions, venue factors, and first-half momentum could all shape how traders reassess the second-half outcome as the match unfolds. Major injuries or red cards during the first half would likely trigger sharp repricing as the market reacts to altered circumstances.
