The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the likelihood of each exact score. As more shares are purchased for a particular outcome, its price increases, reflecting a higher implied probability. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each share directly corresponds to the probability assigned to that outcome by the market participants. This dynamic pricing ensures that the market odds constantly adapt to new information and changing sentiment. The current price reflects the collective intelligence of those trading on Polymarket.
This market resolves around Sep 13, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final, official result of the FC Luzern vs. FC Basel 1893 match, as reported by a recognized sports data provider, will determine the winning outcome. The resolution will be based on the exact score achieved at the end of regulation time, excluding any extra time or penalty shootouts. Traders will then be paid out based on the final outcome and their holdings in the corresponding shares.
Several factors could influence the odds in this market before resolution. Any news regarding team injuries, suspensions, or changes in coaching staff could significantly shift expectations. Unexpected weather conditions on match day might also play a role, potentially favoring one team over another. Furthermore, pre-match analysis from sports commentators and analysts, even if not directly reflected in sportsbook odds, could sway public opinion and impact trading volume. Finally, significant shifts in betting volume on Polymarket itself, driven by new information or strategic trading, could cause noticeable price movements.
