Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different pricing mechanisms and trader bases. Sportsbooks set odds to balance liability and profit margin, while prediction markets like this one are priced by traders who buy and sell shares based on their own forecasts. In many cases, prediction markets have proven more accurate at capturing true probabilities than traditional sportsbook lines, especially for niche outcomes like exact scores. Comparing the two can reveal where public sentiment differs from professional oddsmakers' assessments.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker that converts trader orders into real-time odds for each exact score outcome. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Traders purchase shares representing their prediction of the final scoreline, and the price of each share adjusts based on cumulative buying and selling pressure. The leading outcome currently reflects the consensus view among active traders. This continuous pricing mechanism ensures that odds update instantly as new information or sentiment emerges, creating a dynamic market that responds to pre-match developments and live events.
This market resolves around Jul 25, 2026, once the match between the two teams concludes and the final scoreline is verifiable from credible public sources. The outcome is determined by the exact number of goals scored by each side during regulation time. Traders holding shares in the correct exact score receive their payout, while incorrect predictions expire worthless. Resolution is typically confirmed within hours of the final whistle, allowing the platform to settle all positions and distribute winnings to successful predictors.
Several factors can shift odds in this market before kickoff and during the match. Team news—such as injury announcements, lineup changes, or tactical shifts—often triggers significant price movement as traders reassess scoring probabilities. Pre-match betting trends and analyst commentary can also influence sentiment. Once the match begins, live goals, red cards, and momentum swings will cause rapid repricing of remaining exact score outcomes. Weather conditions, venue factors, and historical head-to-head records may also prompt traders to adjust their positions as new context emerges.
