Frequently asked questions

Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and need to account for profit margins, while this market is driven purely by traders’ predictions. If a significant number of people believe an outcome is more likely than a sportsbook suggests, the price on Polymarket will move accordingly. It's common to see discrepancies, especially when public opinion strongly deviates from the initial sportsbook assessment.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in each possible outcome. The price of a share directly reflects the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price fluctuates based on supply and demand; if more people buy shares in a particular outcome, its price increases, and vice versa. This dynamic pricing allows the market to quickly incorporate new information and adjust probabilities.

This market resolves around Sep 14, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the resolution will be based on which team scores the first goal in the second half of the FC Internazionale Milano vs. Udinese Calcio match. The result will be determined by official match data and reporting, ensuring an objective and verifiable outcome for all traders on Polymarket.

Several factors could influence the price of this market before resolution. Any news regarding player injuries or suspensions for either Inter Milan or Udinese could significantly shift expectations. Tactical changes announced by either manager, or even weather conditions on match day, could also impact trading activity. Furthermore, live game events during the first half, such as a red card or early goal, would likely cause substantial price movements as traders react to the evolving situation.
