Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set odds to balance their book and manage risk, while prediction markets aggregate the beliefs of traders betting real money on outcomes. This market aggregates trader conviction across many possible exact scores, whereas traditional sportsbooks typically offer simpler three-way or spread markets. Comparing the two can reveal where casual bettors and professional traders disagree on the likelihood of specific scorelines, making prediction markets a useful signal for identifying undervalued or overvalued outcomes.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker that allows traders to buy and sell shares representing each exact-score outcome. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Each share trades at a price between 0 and 1, reflecting the probability assigned to that result. As traders buy shares in a particular scoreline, its price rises and all other outcomes adjust downward, ensuring the total probability across all outcomes sums to 100 percent. This continuous pricing mechanism means odds update instantly in response to new information and trading demand, allowing participants to enter or exit positions at transparent, real-time rates.
This market resolves around Jul 23, 2026, once the match concludes and the final score is verified against credible public sources. The outcome is determined by the exact scoreline at the end of regular play, with the winning share corresponding to whichever exact-score option matches the official result. Traders holding shares in the correct outcome receive their payout, while all other positions expire worthless. Resolution timing depends on when the match is completed and the score is confirmed through standard sports reporting channels.
Key catalysts for this market include team news such as injuries to star players, lineup changes, or tactical shifts announced before kickoff. Recent form, head-to-head history, and weather conditions on match day can all shift trader expectations about the likely scoreline. Live match developments—early goals, red cards, or momentum swings—will drive sharp repricing as the game unfolds and traders update their probability estimates. Additionally, betting syndicates and professional traders may enter large positions based on proprietary analysis, creating sudden price movements that reflect new information or conviction about specific scorelines.
