This prediction market asks for the exact final score of a Major League Soccer (MLS) match between FC Dallas and Los Angeles FC, excluding any extra time or penalty shootouts. The market offers a range of possible scores, as well as an 'Any Other Score' option to cover outcomes not explicitly listed.
In the upcoming MLS game between FC Dallas and Los Angeles FC, scheduled for September 26, 2026 at 8:30 PM ET: This market will resolve based on the final score of the FC Dallas vs. Los Angeles FC match originally scheduled for September 26, 2026 at 8:30 PM ET, considering only the result at the end of 90 minutes of regulation plus stoppage time; extra time and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. If the actual score is not one of the explicitly listed outcomes, the market resolves to "Any Other Score." If the match is postponed, the market will remain open until it is completed; if it is canceled with no make-up game, the market resolves to "0-0." The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Prediction market odds, like those found in this market, often differ from traditional sportsbook odds due to the nature of how they are determined. Sportsbooks set odds based on statistical models and expert analysis, while prediction markets are driven by the collective intelligence of many individuals wagering their own capital. This can lead to prediction markets being more accurate, especially when a large number of participants are involved. Furthermore, prediction markets typically have lower transaction costs than sportsbooks, which can influence the prices observed. It’s common to see discrepancies, particularly before significant news or events impact perceptions.
Prices for the FC Dallas vs. LAFC score market can diverge between Polymarket and Predict due to several factors. Each platform has its own user base, trading dynamics, and risk appetite, leading to differing interpretations of the same event. Polymarket and Predict can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Furthermore, the liquidity and volume on each platform can influence price discovery. Differences in the fees charged by each platform, or even the time of day, can also contribute to price discrepancies. These variations present opportunities for arbitrage, where traders attempt to profit from price differences across venues.
Several signals could significantly impact this market before the match concludes. Any news regarding key player injuries or suspensions for either FC Dallas or LAFC would likely cause price fluctuations. Tactical announcements from either team’s coach, such as a change in formation or starting lineup, could also shift predictions. Unexpected weather conditions on game day could also influence the outcome and, therefore, the market. Finally, major shifts in public sentiment, reflected in social media or news coverage, could drive trading activity and move the odds in this market.
