Unified Resolution Criteria (Consistent across platforms)
Both Polymarket and Kalshi resolve based on the official match outcome after 90 minutes plus stoppage time on April 18, 2026, with identical treatment of postponements and cancellations.
Primary resolution logic:
Official MLS Soccer statistics as recognized by the governing body or event organizers (mlssoccer.com), with fallback to credible reporting consensus if official statistics are not published within 2 hours of match conclusion.
Core resolution logic:
The match outcome is determined solely by the result after 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time, excluding extra time and penalties.
Exactly one of three mutually exclusive markets will resolve YES: FC Cincinnati win, Chicago Fire FC win, or draw.
If the match is postponed, all markets remain open until the match is completed.
If the match is canceled with no make-up game, the win markets (Cincinnati and Chicago Fire) resolve NO, and the draw market resolves YES.
Edge cases & Clarifications:
Match Postponement: If the match is postponed, all markets remain open and unresolved until the rescheduled match is completed. Resolution occurs based on the final outcome of the completed match.
Match Cancellation Without Makeup: If the match is canceled entirely with no makeup game scheduled, both win markets resolve NO and the draw market resolves YES.
Resolution Source Timing: Primary resolution uses official MLS statistics. If official statistics are not published within 2 hours after match conclusion, credible reporting consensus may be used as fallback.
Timing:
Resolution occurs upon official publication of the final match result by MLS or event organizers, or within 2 hours after match conclusion via credible reporting consensus if official statistics are delayed.
