This group centers on the outcome of a Primeira Liga soccer match between FC Arouca and CD Santa Clara on September 13, 2026. Markets exist for Arouca winning, Santa Clara winning, the game ending in a draw, and both teams scoring. Resolution relies on official match statistics, with fallback sources specified.
This event is for the upcoming Primeira Liga game, scheduled for Sunday, September 13, 2026 between FC Arouca and CD Santa Clara.
The event resolves based on the result of the Arouca vs Santa Clara Azores professional Liga Portugal soccer game scheduled for Sep 13, 2026. If Arouca wins after 90 minutes plus stoppage time, that market resolves to Yes. If Santa Clara Azores wins under the same conditions, its market resolves to Yes. If the game ends in a tie after regulation time, the Tie market resolves to Yes. If the match is cancelled or rescheduled to more than 48 hours later, all markets resolve to a fair price.
This market will resolve to "YES" if both Arouca and Santa Clara score at least one goal each during regular time (90 minutes plus stoppage time only) in the Primeira Liga match scheduled for September 13, 2026, 17:00 UTC. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "NO." If the match is postponed, this market will remain open until the match has been completed. If the match is not completed as scheduled for any reason (for example, if it is abandoned, canceled, or awarded), and an official final result is recognized by the governing body or event organizers, this market will resolve based on that result. If no official final result is recognized and no make-up match is scheduled, this market will resolve "50-50." Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome.
Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set initial lines based on statistical models and expert analysis, while this market allows anyone to trade on their beliefs, leading to dynamic price discovery. This can result in prediction market probabilities diverging from sportsbook odds, particularly as new information emerges or public sentiment shifts. It's common to see discrepancies, especially when there's strong public bias or uncertainty surrounding the Arouca vs. Santa Clara match.
Prices for this market on Polymarket and Kalshi can diverge due to several factors. Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Each platform has its own user base, trading dynamics, and fee structures, all of which can influence price discovery. Furthermore, differing levels of information available to traders on each platform, or varying interpretations of that information, can lead to discrepancies. The volume traded on each platform also plays a role; a higher volume generally indicates greater confidence and tighter price alignment, while lower volume can result in wider spreads. These differences are normal and reflect the independent nature of these prediction markets.
