Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different mechanisms. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets are driven by continuous trader activity and real-time information flow. This market aggregates the collective judgment of many independent traders rather than a single operator's pricing model. Over time, prediction markets have demonstrated accuracy in capturing true probabilities, especially as new developments emerge closer to kickoff.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker mechanism where traders buy and sell shares of each outcome. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The current odds reflect the aggregate belief of all participants: higher prices indicate stronger conviction that an outcome will occur. As traders place orders, the price adjusts dynamically, ensuring the market continuously incorporates new information about team form, injuries, and match conditions right up until resolution.
This market resolves around Jul 26, 2026, once the second half of the FC Anyang vs. Gangwon FC match concludes and the result is verified against credible public sources. The outcome is determined by which team scores more goals in the second half only, independent of the first-half score. Resolution occurs after the final whistle and official confirmation, ensuring accuracy before payouts are distributed to winning traders.
Several factors could shift odds significantly before kickoff and during the match. Team news—injuries, suspensions, or lineup changes—often triggers sharp price moves. Pre-match momentum, recent form, and head-to-head records influence early trading. Once the match begins, first-half events such as goals, red cards, or tactical adjustments will reshape expectations for the second half. Weather conditions and in-game momentum swings can also prompt traders to reassess probabilities as the match unfolds.
