This group forecasts the outcome of a Liga Portugal soccer match between FC Alverca and Rio Ave FC on September 19, 2026. Markets ask whether either team will win or if the match will end in a draw, settled after 90 minutes plus stoppage time.
This event is for the upcoming Primeira Liga game, scheduled for Saturday, September 19, 2026 between FC Alverca and Rio Ave FC.
The event resolves based on the full-time result of the Alverca vs Rio Ave professional Liga Portugal soccer match scheduled for September 19, 2026, after 90 minutes of regular play plus any stoppage time, but excluding extra time or penalty kicks. A 'Yes' outcome applies to the specific market corresponding to the actual result: Alverca win, Rio Ave win, or Tie. If the match is cancelled or rescheduled to more than 48 hours beyond the original date, the market will resolve to a fair price, ensuring equitable treatment for all participants. The event explicitly excludes outcomes determined by extra time or penalty shootouts, focusing solely on the result at the end of regular time plus stoppage time.
This market resolves to "YES" if the listed club wins after 90 minutes plus stoppage time, excluding extra time and penalty shootouts, in the match scheduled for September 19, 2026, 17:00 UTC. Otherwise, it will resolve to "NO." If the match is postponed, this market will remain open until the match has been completed. If the match is not completed as scheduled for any reason (for example, if it is abandoned, canceled, or awarded), and an official final result is recognized by the governing body or event organizers, this market will resolve based on that result. If no official final result is recognized and no make-up match is scheduled, this market will resolve "NO." Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome.
Prediction market odds, like those found on Polymarket and Kalshi, often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of participants, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set odds based on their own models and aim to balance risk and profit, while prediction markets are driven by individuals wagering their own capital. This can lead to discrepancies, especially when public opinion diverges from expert analysis. It’s possible to find opportunities where the implied probability from this market differs from sportsbook offerings, allowing for potential arbitrage opportunities.
Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Prices on Polymarket and Kalshi can diverge due to several factors. Each platform has its own user base, trading dynamics, and fee structure, all of which can influence price discovery. Polymarket currently favors a specific outcome at a certain percentage, while Kalshi leans toward a different result. Furthermore, differing liquidity levels on each platform can amplify price movements. The volume traded on each platform, currently $128,285 overall, also plays a role, with higher volume generally leading to tighter spreads and more efficient pricing.
