On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker that converts trader buy and sell orders into real-time odds. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Traders purchase shares representing each outcome—one team scoring first or the other—and the price of each share reflects the collective probability assigned by the market. As more capital flows toward one outcome, its price rises and the competing outcome's price falls, ensuring the market continuously reprices based on fresh information and shifting expectations about team performance.
This market resolves around Jul 26, 2026, once the match concludes and the first goal is verified. The outcome is determined by which team scores the opening goal, confirmed against credible public reporting of the final result. Traders holding shares in the winning outcome receive their payout, while losing positions expire worthless. Resolution timing depends on match completion and standard verification procedures.
Team news—injuries, lineup changes, or tactical shifts—can significantly alter perceptions of attacking strength and defensive vulnerability. Pre-match analysis from respected analysts or unexpected odds movements at traditional sportsbooks may trigger repricing as traders react to new information. Weather conditions, venue factors, and recent form updates can also shift expectations about which side is likelier to strike first. Real-time developments during the warm-up or early commentary often drive final price adjustments before kickoff.
