Often, prediction market odds reflect a wisdom-of-the-crowd effect, potentially differing from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks may incorporate factors like house edges and promotional considerations into their pricing, while this market is driven purely by traders’ willingness to buy or sell. If there's a significant discrepancy between the two, it could indicate that the market believes the sportsbook is mispricing the event, or vice versa. It’s always valuable to compare both to form a well-rounded perspective on the likely outcome.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of these shares directly reflects the implied probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate, the price converges towards what the market collectively believes is the fair probability. The current price indicates the market’s assessment of the likelihood of a particular result in the Fashchevskyi vs. Storozhenko match.
This market resolves around Oct 1, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the Fashchevskyi vs. Storozhenko match as reported by the governing sporting body. The platform will then determine the winning outcome and distribute payouts to those who correctly predicted the result. Traders should monitor official sources for the final result to understand how this market will be settled.
Several factors could influence the price of this market before Oct 1, 2026. Any news regarding the players’ form, potential injuries, or changes in coaching strategy could shift trader sentiment.
