Frequently asked questions

Prediction market odds often reflect a different kind of wisdom than sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks typically set lines to balance action and incorporate a profit margin, while this market represents the collective forecast of informed traders. Frequently, prediction markets are more accurate than traditional betting markets, especially when complex factors are at play. However, sportsbook odds can provide a useful benchmark for understanding public perception and identifying potential value in this market. Discrepancies between the two can arise from differing information access or varying levels of expertise among participants.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the likelihood of each outcome. As more shares are purchased for a particular outcome, its price increases, reflecting a higher implied probability. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of a share directly corresponds to the probability of that outcome occurring, as determined by the collective actions of all traders. This dynamic pricing ensures that the market reflects the most up-to-date information and insights available to participants.

This market resolves around Oct 2, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting.
