Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd, often differing from initial sportsbook lines. Sportsbooks set their odds based on statistical models and expert analysis, while this market aggregates the beliefs of many individual traders. As more information becomes available – such as preseason performance, injury reports, and coaching decisions – the odds on Polymarket may converge with or diverge from sportsbook odds. It's common to see prediction markets more accurately forecast outcomes as the event draws nearer, especially when there's significant public interest.
On Polymarket, this market is priced using a continuous double auction. Traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in each quarterback’s likelihood of leading in points during Week 3. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate, the prices adjust to reflect the collective assessment of the field. Higher demand for shares in a particular quarterback will drive up their price, indicating increased confidence in their performance.
This market resolves around Sep 29, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the official NFL statistics for Week 3 of the 2026-27 season are released and verifiable from credible public reporting. The quarterback with the highest total fantasy points scored in Week 3, as calculated by standard fantasy football scoring rules, will be considered the winner. The market will then settle to 100% for the winning quarterback and 0% for all others. Be sure to check Polymarket for the official resolution announcement.
