This prediction market asks participants to forecast which wide receiver will score the most fantasy points in Week 2 of the 2026-27 NFL season using a standard PPR (points per reception) scoring format. The markets cover a large number of potential players.
This market will resolve to the wide receiver that finishes Week 2 of the 2026-27 NFL regular season as the highest-scoring WR under standard PPR (points-per-reception) scoring per the default scoring of ESPN Fantasy Sports. Only games designated by the NFL as Week 2 of the 2026-27 regular season count. If two or more players are tied for the most fantasy points in Week 2, this market will resolve in favor of the tied player whose last name comes first alphabetically. If the highest-scoring WR in Week 2 of the 2026-27 NFL regular season is not a listed player, this market will resolve to "Other". If Week 2 of the 2026-27 NFL regular season is cancelled, postponed past October 7, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or a leader cannot be determined within this timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other". The resolution source will be official Week 2 statistics as reported by ESPN Fantasy Sports (https://www.espn.com/fantasy/).
Each market resolves based on whether the named player finishes highest in total full-PPR fantasy points among all wide receivers in Week 2 of the 2026 NFL regular season. Points are calculated using Sleeper's default full-PPR scoring system, which awards points for various statistical categories including receptions, yards, touchdowns, and special teams plays. If the player does not participate in any games that week, they are considered to have scored zero points. In the event of a tie for the highest score among eligible players, the market resolves to 1/N where N equals the number of tied players, meaning no holder receives the full $1 payout—only a prorated share based on the tie.
Prices on Polymarket and Kalshi can diverge due to several factors. Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Each platform has a different user base with varying levels of expertise and risk tolerance, leading to differing opinions on the probability of each outcome. Trading volume also plays a role; a market with higher volume tends to have more efficient price discovery. Furthermore, the specific mechanisms for trading and margin requirements on each platform can influence price dynamics. These factors contribute to the observed differences in how traders assess the likelihood of a particular wide receiver leading in Week 2 fantasy points.
Several events could significantly impact this market. Player injuries are a primary driver, as the absence of a key wide receiver would drastically alter the landscape. Preseason performance and training camp reports can also influence trader sentiment, providing insights into player form and potential roles. Major trades or changes in team offensive schemes could also cause shifts in probabilities. Finally, any news regarding player health, coaching decisions, or unexpected developments during Week 1 of the NFL season will likely move prices in this market as traders react to new information.
