On Polymarket and Kalshi, pricing differences arise from distinct user bases, liquidity conditions, and design features. Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Each venue attracts different types of traders, from recreational bettors to quantitative participants, shaping unique probability distributions. Additionally, varying volume levels—such as $15,761,671 across platforms—affect how quickly prices adjust to new information, leading to temporary mismatches in implied chances for outcomes.
