This market tracks whether the European T20 Premier League cricket match between the Dublin Guardians and Edinburgh Castle Rockers will be completed as scheduled. Currently, the consensus probability of the match being completed is 100.0%. This prediction aggregates data from Kalshi and Polymarket, and will resolve based on official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers (espncricinfo.com). Keep an eye on the match scheduled for September 11, 2026, as the outcome will be determined by whether a result is officially declared by the event organizers.
This market refers to the cricket match between Dublin Guardians and Edinburgh Castle Rockers scheduled for September 11 2026 at 9:15 AM ET in European T20 Premier League. DLS/DRS, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the winner determined by that tiebreak will be used for resolution. If the match ends tied and no on-field tiebreak is used or available under the playing conditions (e.g., group-stage ODI with no Super Over), the market will resolve 50-50. If the match is postponed/rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed. If the match is permanently canceled or abandoned or otherwise is completed without a winner, the market resolves 50-50. The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead.
The market resolves to Yes for the specified team if they are declared the official winner of the match by the governing body. If the match ends in a tie, draw, no result, abandonment, or cancellation with no official winner, all markets resolve to $0.50. If a forfeit, disqualification, or concession occurs before the match begins, all markets resolve to $0.50. If it occurs after the match begins and an official winner is declared, the market resolves based on that result. If play begins but insufficient play occurs to determine an official result, all markets resolve to $0.50. Prediction market odds, like those found in this market, often differ from traditional sportsbook odds due to the nature of how they are determined. Sportsbooks set odds based on statistical models and expert analysis, while prediction markets rely on the collective wisdom of traders. This creates a dynamic pricing mechanism where odds shift based on real-money bets, potentially revealing information not fully captured by sportsbooks. Furthermore, prediction markets typically have lower transaction costs, which can lead to more efficient price discovery. The difference can be significant, offering opportunities for arbitrage or informed betting.
Prices on Polymarket and Kalshi for this market can diverge due to several factors. Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Each platform attracts a different user base with varying risk appetites and information sets, leading to differing opinions on the probability of each outcome. Trading fees and platform-specific rules also contribute to price discrepancies. Furthermore, the volume traded on each platform can influence price discovery; a larger volume on one venue might indicate stronger conviction and therefore a different price point. These factors create independent price signals, even for the same underlying event.
