Emma Navarro and Marta Kostyuk face off in the 2026 Wimbledon Women's Singles Round of 32 on July 4. This market determines who wins the second set of their professional tennis match.
The market resolves to Yes if the indicated player wins set 2 of the Emma Navarro vs Marta Kostyuk professional tennis match at the 2026 Wimbledon Women's Singles Round of 32. If the match does not occur before play begins due to injury, walkover, forfeiture, or cancellation, the market resolves to a fair price. If the match is postponed or delayed, the market remains open and closes after the rescheduled match concludes within two weeks. If a player retires, markets that can be unconditionally settled based on completed play resolve accordingly; those that cannot are resolved to Fair Market Price at the Exchange's discretion.
Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets like this one are driven by trader consensus and real-money risk. Prediction markets tend to incorporate breaking news and live match data faster than traditional books update their lines. For a specific tennis set, comparing the implied probability here to major sportsbook spreads can reveal where the crowd sees edge or where sharp money is flowing.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order-book mechanism where traders buy and sell contracts representing each outcome. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each contract reflects the collective belief about that player's probability of winning Set 2, ranging from $0 to $1. As new trades execute, the price updates in real time, and the bid-ask spread narrows or widens based on liquidity and conviction. Traders can place limit or market orders to enter or exit positions, with all pricing transparent on the public order book.
This market resolves around Jul 4, 2026, once the Navarro vs Kostyuk match is complete and the Set 2 result is verified against credible public sources. The outcome is determined by which player wins the second set in the actual match. Traders holding contracts for the winning player receive the full $1 payout per contract, while the losing side expires worthless. Resolution typically occurs within hours of the match conclusion, pending confirmation from official tennis reporting.
Several factors can shift odds in this market before resolution. Player injury reports or withdrawal announcements would trigger sharp repricing. Live match data—such as Set 1 performance, break points, and momentum swings—often causes significant moves once play begins. Weather delays or court conditions may also influence trader sentiment. Media coverage, expert commentary, and betting action from sharp syndicates can accelerate price movement. Additionally, any changes to player form or recent head-to-head results leading up to the match could prompt traders to adjust their positions.
