This market tracks the outcome of the second set in the professional tennis match between Elias Ymer and Timofey Skatov at the 2026 Wimbledon Men's Singles Qualification Final on June 24. The winner of set 2 will determine the market resolution.
The market resolves to Yes if either Elias Ymer or Timofey Skatov wins set 2 of their professional tennis match in the 2026 Wimbledon Men Singles Qualification Final. If the match does not occur before play begins due to injury, walkover, forfeiture, or cancellation, the market resolves to a fair price. If the match is postponed or delayed, the market remains open and closes after the rescheduled match concludes within two weeks. If a player retires, markets that can be unconditionally settled based on completed play resolve accordingly; those that cannot are resolved to Fair Market Price at the Exchange's discretion.
Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and manage risk, while prediction markets aggregate the beliefs of traders risking real capital on outcomes. This market aggregates the collective forecast of participants betting on the Set 2 winner, which can sometimes offer a more efficient price than traditional sportsbooks, especially as new information emerges closer to match time. Comparing the two can reveal valuable arbitrage opportunities or highlight where market consensus differs from bookmaker positioning.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through an order-book mechanism where traders buy and sell contracts representing each outcome. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each contract reflects the probability traders assign to that outcome, with contracts ranging from $0 to $1. As new information surfaces or trading interest shifts, the bid-ask spread adjusts dynamically. Traders can place limit or market orders to enter or exit positions, and the continuous price discovery process ensures the market stays responsive to real-world developments in the match.
This market resolves around Jun 24, 2026, once the Set 2 result is finalized and verifiable from credible public sources. The outcome is determined by the official match record, confirming which player won the second set of the Ymer vs Skatov encounter. Resolution typically occurs shortly after the set concludes, assuming no disputes or delays. Traders should monitor official tennis reporting and the Kalshi platform for confirmation of the final result and settlement timing.
Several factors could shift odds in this market before resolution. Player form and recent match results leading up to the event may influence trader expectations. Injury reports, court conditions, or weather updates could alter perceived advantage. Early-set momentum during the actual match—such as one player winning the first set decisively—often triggers repricing as traders update their forecasts. News about player fitness, mental state, or head-to-head history may also prompt trading activity. Real-time match developments, including service breaks or set point situations, typically generate the most significant price movements as the outcome becomes clearer.
